Hardships & Suffering!

"One joy scatters a hundred griefs." Chinese Proverb

Have you ever considered that you may be attached to negative occurrences and sorrow as penance-- a desire to be forgiven - or to make up for your mis-steps and prove your worth? This can keep you forever stuck in a cycle of sacrifice, hardship, illness, or sorrow. Let your perceived errors go; you no longer need to do penance. Living fully and joyously shows your gratitude for life and creation more so than living in sorrow and lack. For thousands of years, humans have been taught otherwise, so it can be difficult to let go of the idea that suffering is more noble than happiness. Because of this, we never feel like we have done enough suffering to justify our happiness, so we linger, subtly or overtly. Don't apologize for happiness. You were created in joy and it is who you are meant to be. Don't let yourself believe that if others are not happy that you shouldn't be either or that if others are ill, you must hide your vitality or apologize for it. You are here to live fully in YOUR life and circumstances. There is always joy to be found, so find it and feel it. Celebrate it. The presence of joy becomes a service to the world.
